I found the center of the paper with a ruler. Then using a protractor,  I aligned the central mark at the zero point of the protractor, and made a mark every six degrees along the edge of the compass for all 360 degrees around. I then connected each point to the one opposite it through the central point. With a compass, I made circle. At the intersection of the circle and two adjacent radiating lines, I place a quarter so that the points of intersection aligned with the edge of the quarter. I traced around the quarter. I repeated this step, used an alternating pattern of quarter, nickel, penny, and nickel around the entirety of the circle. Finally, using a black marker, I traced around the outer boundary of the illustration, and filled in the center. I made a small circle at center, and left it blank.
